The Lebanon Project team is dedicated to making a positive impact in the Boone County community. Check out some of the ways the team has been getting involved and making a difference.
Boone County Economic Development Corporation, virtual XBE seminar
Fluor partnered with the Boone County Economic Development Corporation to provide two outreach seminars for local business owners. The online sessions provided information about Fluor’s supplier diversity program and how to obtain a minority business certification. Information about the project schedule, scopes of work and materials needed was shared. Fluor and Lilly will be hosting similar outreach events in the future.
Women in Construction visit
Members of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) visited the Lebanon Project site at the end of April. More than 60 attendees learned about Fluor, Eli Lilly and Company and the scope of the construction work.
National Safety Week
The team hosted a series of educational safety demonstrations and events for workers during National Safety Week in May. A safety vendor fair, featuring several local partners, gave site workers opportunities to meet with safety professionals, see equipment and check out the latest protective gear.
Versiti Blood Drive
During the project’s first blood drive, team members donated 21 units of blood to the Versiti blood bank, which provides more than 40% of the blood to Hoosier hospitals. Because each individual donation can save up to three separate lives, approximately 81 people will potentially be saved by the staff donations.
Boone County Chamber Golf Outing
The Lebanon Project was proud to sponsor the Boone County Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing for the second year in a row. More than 140 golfers took part in the event, with proceeds going to support Boone County Chamber initiatives throughout the year.
